Irene Constant-Blasco

A native of Spain, flutist Irene Constant-Blasco is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree

in the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she studies with

Eugenia Moliner. Irene has recently been a finalist in the FSGP Young Artist Competition

(Philadelphia) and the Young Artists Competition of the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra. As a member of CCPA Symphony Orchestra, she has appeared in venues such as Symphony Center and Harris Theater in Chicago. In Spain, Ms. Constant-Blasco was a two-time winner of the Ciutat de Burriana Chamber Music Competition and won the Music Professional Prize at Conservatori Professional Mestre Tàrrega. She also performed with the opera company Amics de l’Opera de Castelló in venues such as Peñíscola’s Castle and the Teatre Principal de Castelló. Dedicated to sharing her love of music, Irene has taught flute in the Unió Musical del Grau (Castelló, Spain) and has been a private flute and music theory instructor.

Irene started her music education with the piano at a local academy and began with flute short after. At the age of twelve she was accepted into the Conservatori Mestre Tàrrega in Castelló. After beginning her higher education in Conservatori Superior Salvador Seguí, she transferred to the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she graduated Suma Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music’s degree in flute performance in 2019. Her primary teachers include Eugenia Moliner, Magdalena Martínez and Maria Bernat.
